The Fluke is like that itch at…. oh nevermind
Born and raised in the Midwest, Nick Andrew (a.k.a) The Fluke, started off as a classical guitar player, which has overtime turned in to a experimental project. The Fluke has worked with many different styles of music ranging from, Folk, Rock, Shoegaze, Hip Hop, Trip Hop, and NoisePop. He is influenced by many different kinds of music from all around the world but looks up to artists like Neutral Milk Hotel, Velvet Underground, Elliot Smith, and Broken Social Scene. His music is said to be describes as something that is not solid but something that is constantly evolving.
Being the newest member of WSR The Fluke brings a different twist to the band focussing more on independent melodies that add structure and diversity to already existing Rock compositions. With WSR the The Fluke prefers to play out of a VOX AC30 using multi-tap effects different fuzz combinations, and sometimes using feedback from an amplifier to add tone and depth which is demonstrated in such tracks as “Dragg Me Down.”
The Fluke now resides Hayes Valley where he creates melodic tones via synth and sample.
